Remembrance Day

As I sat in quiet reflection this morning, observing a moment of silence, my mind couldn’t help but grapple with the state of our world today. The echoes of past wars linger, and it’s disheartening to witness the current turmoil. One can’t help but question the reasons behind it all. Have we not gleaned any wisdom from history? Lives are being shattered, blood is being spilled, and amidst it all, we engage in a cycle of blame, shame, and attempts at rationalization.

I don’t claim to possess a definitive solution, but it feels evident that our current trajectory is far from the answer. In times like these, let us move forward with love permeating our hearts and take actions with the overarching intention of fostering unity rather than division. We’re fortunate to reside in Canada, a nation that epitomizes freedom—freedom to be, speak, and live as we choose. This precious freedom is a legacy owed to the courageous men and women we solemnly remember today.

On this day, I wish you a peaceful and reflective time, carrying the spirit of gratitude for the liberties we enjoy and a sincere hope for a world where love and unity prevail.
