Pakistan Day and Canada Day

Calgary Unity and Wellness Society Celebrates Pakistan Day and Canada Day with Joy and Unity!

We are thrilled to invite you to a special event where we will celebrate not just one, but two significant days in the history of our nations—Pakistan Day and Canada Day! Join us on 14th August as we come together to honor the rich heritage of Pakistan and the multicultural spirit of Canada in a day filled with pride, joy, and community spirit.

Pakistan Canada Day

Dual Flag Raising Ceremony

Our celebration will begin with a grand flag-raising ceremony, where the flags of Pakistan and Canada will be hoisted side by side. This powerful moment will symbolize the deep bond between the two nations and the shared values of freedom, democracy, and unity that we hold dear. The green and white of Pakistan and the red and white of Canada will stand tall, representing our pride in both countries.

Cake Cutting Ceremony

No celebration is complete without a sweet treat! We will be hosting a special cake-cutting ceremony to commemorate both Pakistan Day and Canada Day. A beautifully decorated cake for each occasion will be unveiled, symbolizing the sweetness of our shared history and the joy of our united future. Join us as we cut the Pakistan Day cake and the Canada Day cake, and share these delicious creations with everyone in attendance.

Halwa Puri Lunch

Traditional Halwa Puri Lunch

Indulge in a traditional Pakistani Halwa Puri lunch, a meal that brings warmth and nostalgia to our celebration. The rich, aromatic halwa paired with crisp puris and savory accompaniments will transport you to the heart of Pakistan. This communal meal is a wonderful opportunity to connect with others, share stories, and enjoy the flavors of home.

Photo Booth and Memories:

Capture the joy of this special day at our photo booth, where you can take pictures with both the Pakistani and Canadian flags, as well as the beautifully decorated cakes. These photos will be a cherished reminder of the day we came together as a community to celebrate our shared heritage and friendship.
